Topic: Technology and Payments – Lessons Learned from Data Breaches  in 2018

From fake malware attack to PIN attacks, 2018 has seen varied kind of breaches.  From one of the leading forensic investigating companies in India, this sessions intends to give you a closer look at  what caused these breaches and 5 key learnings from them.  The session will give a first-­‐ hand view of “how” these breaches happened and what you can do to protect your environment?

As India’s first Core Payment Forensic Investigator, having investigated over 30 breaches last year, Dharshan intends to provide the participants:

  • Types of Breaches that are happening.
  • The security posture of the compromised entities when they were  compromised
  • Ways to improve the security posture of their respective organizations.

 

Topic: Data breaches: from a privacy perspective

The presentation will step attendees through an interactive data breach scenario viewed from a privacy lens, including preparatory steps, risk assessment, key privacy legislative considerations, notifications, and post-incident review.  There will also be a discussion on some key data and privacy breaches that occurred in 2019 and suggested takeaways.

It is interactive; for experienced practitioners it is a useful refresher, for newer practitioners it covers some key legal and privacy operational issues to be aware of.

Anyone attending will receive an understanding of some key legal and privacy operational issues to be aware of.

Ray Vincent is a Payments Security specialist and business strategist with over 16 years of experience in the Cyber Security industry.  He works closely with experts in the banking industry and has front-ended nation wide technology projects with the likes of Etisalat, the largest telecom provider in the Middle East.

Ray is an evangelist in EMV technology adaptation and has given a significant contribution to migrating EMV projects with the leading banks in the Middle East region.

With an Engineering degree in Computer Science, Ray fits well to position Payment Security solutions to the BFSI domain.  He also worked with all the top payment card brands in the region.
