How to Use AI Machine Learning for Fraud Investigation and Insider Threat

FACT360 offers a new machine learning technology developed for Fraud Investigation at The Centre for Intelligent Data Analytics division of Goldsmith University in London, where we drew on the expertise of Artificial Intelligence at Goldsmith and Psychology at Oxford University to develop a dynamic transactional metrics that processes and learns without rules.

We will share our findings on how we used numerous AI technologies to rapidly process emails to identify lines of enquiry that can be used to expedite fraud investigation and to consider, how it may be used as a prevention tools for insider threat.

Using a case study, we shall show how AI can significantly reduce the cumbersome, fragmented and expensive investigation and intelligence gathering process and improve evidence gathering to raise conviction rates.

Tanya Harris CEO of Harrman Cyber, a UK company that has developed a machine learning technology for fraud investigation providing end to end fraud investigation services. Development partners include The Centre for Intelligent Data Analytics division of Goldsmith University in London and Corpus Christi Psychology Division at The University of Oxford.

During her talks, she shares how AI machine learning can add additional layers of data security by sharing insight into using a new technology to trigger abnormalities in communication using transactional/ network analysis, NLP, breakout detection and pattern analysis to identify lines of enquiry that otherwise go unnoticed by the human eye and.

Tanya was part of the design team for Data Protect 360 a NIST Cyber Security Assessment, and Universal Data Protection e-learning Insider Threat Series. Her expertise is insider threat drawn from 30 years experiences in human behaviour, performance psychology and risk management.

Tanya has spoken around the world including: AISA Australia, Women in Technology UK, Bank of America, ISACA UK, Luxembourg, New Zealand and New York, COSAC conference in Australia. She is on the Board of Universal Data Protection, Iron Arrow Consulting, ICOM4, Room40 and is an ‘In Conversation Business Partner’ with AWS (Amazon Web Services) in Europe and the Middle East.
