The security architecture working group is providing a platform for security architects in Melbourne to meet peers and exchange ideas to improve their security architecture delivery capabilities.
Meetings are organised by the ISACA Melbourne Chapter, the venue is sponsored by Deloitte Risk Advisory, and sessions are facilitated by Andreas Dannert, Immediate Past President of the ISACA Melbourne Chapter and Enterprise Security Architect within Deloitte Risk Advisory.
Attendees are encouraged to bring an open mind and willingness to share their experiences in order for everyone to get value out of these meetings.
Meeting Topic: Quantitive Security Risk Metrics
Everything seems to be more quantified than security risks. There are various measurements in the world that are well defined and some of them are globally agreed, like the International System of Units for example. Even earthquakes, hurricanes and tornados have a rating scale that is quantitively defined. Why don’t we have such a rating for security risks? Does it exist or can it be defined? If you struggle with quantitive security risk metrics or have ideas of addressing the issue feel free come along to this security architecture working group session.
